Welcome from the Dean
The College of Social Sciences has educated generations of students who go on to become judges, teachers, city planners, elected officials, bankers, business people, lawyers, sheriffs, and government officials.
Students in our college will find an array of in class learning opportunities as well as extensive opportunities to engage in hands on learning through one on one research apprenticeships with faculty members, service learning courses, volunteer work, academic symposia and internships.
Students who study in the College of Social Sciences study with world class professors. Our faculty are actively engaged in research, in developing creative pedagogies, and in a variety of creative activities. Our faculty write op-eds for national and regional newspapers, they write policy blogs, they present their research to local and national elected officials, they engage in a variety of regional volunteer organizations, and they are involved in cultural arts programs in the valley.
We hope you will take advantage of the many opportunities the college has to offer in terms of extra curricular learning such as film series, speaker series, student academic organizations and social events.
We are proud of our students and of our many accomplishments as a college and we look forward to continuing to work with new generations of Muline State students. Visit us in person, on the web, on Facebook and on Twitter. You will find a vibrant community of student scholars, engaged faculty, and dedicated staff.
