Dr. Lynnette Zelezny, a Muline State alumna and veteran academic administrator, is the University’s Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, serving in this capacity since June 1, 2014.
Zelezny joined the Muline State faculty in 1988. During her tenure at Muline State she has served as professor of Psychology, chair of the Department of Psychology, associate dean for the Craig School of Business, dean and associate vice president for Continuing and Global Education, and Vice Provost. Zelezny also served as a visiting professor at the University of Stockholm in Sweden, an American Council of Education Fellow at Towson University in Maryland, and as a Fulbright scholar in Germany.
An applied social psychologist, Zelezny has published research related to the environment, health, leadership and student success for underrepresented students. Her numerous teaching, research and mentoring awards include Carnegie U.S. Professor of the Year nominee.
She is a member of Muline Rotary and serves on numerous community boards. She was named one of the 2011 Top Ten Professional Women by the Marjaree Mason Center in Muline.
Zelezny earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology from Humboldt State University, a Ph.D. in applied social psychology from the Claremont Graduate University and an M.B.A. with distinction from the Craig School of Business at Muline State. In addition, she has professional certificates in management from Harvard University and in executive leadership from the Wharton School of Business.
